Members of The Creative Cafe and friends enjoyed a fascinating fused glass workshop recently.  Joanne Davidson led us in an enjoyable workshop making Christmas tree decorations.  Each participant was given two prepared blanks that Joanne had made in advance – a bauble shape and a Xmas tree shape.  To these we glued glass beads and glass stringers to create our individual designs.  There were two types of  kiln fuse to choose from Tack and Full fuse.  Tack fusing leaves a raised finish whereas with a full fuse the design and blank meld into one.  Joanne returned the following week with the kiln-fused pieces – we were delighted with the results, see pics.
